I have been an active member of the North Carolina Bar since August 18, 2000.  I have practiced and lived in Wake County throughout my legal career.  I started as a prosecutor in the Wake County District Attorney’s Office.  As well as the normal courtroom duties of a prosecutor, I was also the supervising prosecutor for District Court for 2 years, helping to establish a DWI courtroom, working with judges in managing the District Court caseload, training new prosecutors, and addressing other legal and administrative issues.  Once promoted to Superior Court, I litigated cases appealed from District Court and felonies, including sexual assaults and homicides. As a prosecutor, I tried numerous cases, as well as filed and responded to countless legal issues.

In May 2006, we formed this law firm, Lloyd & Parris, PLLC.  I have expanded my legal experience to include criminal defense, traffic violation and DWI representation, small claims, administrative hearings, and civil court cases.  I represent both plaintiffs and defendants in civil court.  I am proficient in researching civil issues and in drafting civil pleadings and motions, as well as discovery documents.  I have litigated civil issues ranging from landlord/tenant disputes to contract breaches.  As a certified Superior Court Arbitrator for Wake County since 2007, I have conducted hearings involving law suits such as breach of contract, personal injury, money owed, and more. Throughout my career, I have always been honest and diligent with the people I work with and serve.  I strive to be open-minded, patient, and professional in my actions.  I am dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals and in equal justice for everyone.  Everyone deserves a chance to be heard on their issues, with dignity and respect
